Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of progressive experience on a variety of corporate law matters, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support to private and public companies with respect to general corporate, corporate finance, M&A and securities regulatory matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
  • Manage legal files in coordination with the principal lawyer, ensuring all legal matters are handled with precision and professionalism.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex legal issues and develop creative solutions for our clients’ challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of firm culture.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school in Canada.
  • Active member of the Law Society of Alberta in good standing.
  • 2 – 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with public companies is an asset.
