Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Associate Lawyer to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience on a variety of corporate law matters, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate organization and have 2-15 years’ experience. Our client is flexible to discuss total compensation to match background and profile.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to private and public companies with respect to general corporate, corporate finance, M&A and securities regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
- Manage legal files in coordination with the principal lawyer, ensuring all legal matters are handled with precision and professionalism.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex legal issues and develop creative solutions for our clients’ challenges.
- Contribute to the development of firm culture.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the Law Society of Alberta in good standing.
- 2 – 15 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with public companies is an asset.
- Curiosity and a growth mindset, dedicated to professional excellence.
