Welcome to Cat’s Track Episode 63, with guest Trish Josephs.
Trish Josephs is a dynamic executive, entrepreneur , master connector and self-professed science/technology enthusiast. She is currently Vice President, leading Global Business Development team at ZS2 Technologies, a technology company bringing to market new advanced materials and construction solutions focused on sustainability and resiliency in built structures. Trish holds a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Alberta and a Masters Degree in curriculum and leadership from the Faculty of Education at Gonzaga.
Prior to ZS2, Trish held the position of Vice President of MgO Systems, Terra Life Sciences and Liberty Biosciences, technology companies in construction, Medical Cannabis and Stem Cell Therapeutics. Trish also held the role of Director of Strategic Business Development and Innovation with Imaginea Energy, a trail blazing conventional oil and gas company led by visionary leader Suzanne West. There she helped to assess over 200 technologies, developed First Nation partnerships and spent considerable time interfacing with the all levels of government, post secondary institutions and the global innovation ecosystem.
Trish is also the founder of Echo Business Development Solutions – a boutique consulting firm committed to working with executive teams across industry verticals to build strategic business development plans that deliver bottom line results. In addition to Echo BDS, she is a strategic partner with Sustrategy – a global business development firm specializing in business strategy for sustainable growth.
Trish’s business acumen, leadership and experience has developed over the decades across the health, construction, energy, cannabis and technology sectors. Trish is gifted in systems thinking, seeing the big picture, linking the pieces of the ecosystem, building partnerships and delivering measurable results.
Professionally, Trish has spent considerable time in the Calgary community catalyzing new innovation initiatives like the Alberta Blockchain Consortium & YYChain, moderating panels on cleantech innovation, speaking at various leadership events, sitting on boards, serving as a technology pitch coach and mentoring startups. Currently Trish is a mentor with Intergen Connect and active member of The51, Women Get on Boards, Women on Boards, Canada51, and The Prosperity Project.
Personally, she is a long-time volunteer of the Calgary Stampede, executive member of the Calgary branch of the Ukrainian Canadian Professional Business Association, proud mother of three grown adult children and avid outdoors woman. In her spare time she can be found hiking, cross country skiing or exploring Western Canada on her beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle.
