Welcome to Cat’s Track Episode 14, with guest Ken Wilson.

Ken Wilson is an independent senior advisor, consultant, and director for several Calgary based organizations, private and not-for-profit, through his personal services company, 6IX PASSIONS. He ‘retired’ from Calgary based Coril Holdings Ltd. at the end of December 2014 where he was a corporate officer for eleven years and held the position of Senior Vice President, Long Range Planning. Coril is a privately held holding company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta.

Wilson has over twenty-five years of experience in senior management and leadership positions of both private and publicly held corporations, ranging in size from small to large. He joined Coril Holdings in January 2004, and within that group, held the positions of President and CEO of Richardson Technologies Inc., and President and CEO of INLIV Full Circle Health prior to holding the position he held at retirement.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta and Diplomas in General Management from both The Joseph L. Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto and the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Chaordix Inc., www.chaordix.com Ken is also a member of the Advisory Board of Auspice Capital Advisors Ltd, www.auspicecapital.com and sits the National Campaign & Gala Advisory Committee of Canada’s National Music Centre, Studio Bell www.nmc.ca He is also a member of A100, a group of Alberta based ‘founders and funders’ of technology companies www.thea100.org

In the fall of 2015, Ken successfully auditioned and became a member and later, a Director of Revv52, www.revv52.com Calgary’s ‘Vocal Energy’ a high performance singing group of men and women. He performed on stage in Carnegie Hall in New York City with Revv52 in Distinguished Concerts International’s ‘Total Vocal 2’ on March 20th of 2016, and again 2 in a return engagement on March 24th, 2019. In July of 2017, again with Revv52 he was on stage in ‘TOGETHER’, the Calgary Stampede’s Evening Grandstand Show, celebrating Canada’s 150th Birthday, for an audience topping 200,000 over eleven nights. Most recently, Ken became an inaugural member of the Mount Royal University Conservatory Advisory Committee www.mtroyal.ca/conservatory as well as a member of the Advisory Board of Calgary’s Energy Disruptors. He is a recent past Director, after ten years of service, on the Board of Calgary’s Alberta Adolescent Recovery Centre (AARC), www.aarc.ab.ca Wilson is also a cofounder of Action Alberta www.actionalberta.ca a group of four experienced businessmen and native Albertans who promote self reliance, common sense and hard work. He is also a cofounder and Director of the 49 year old Magnetawan Investment Corporation.
