Dan McLean married his high school sweetheart one month after his 19th birthday and was blessed with three incredible children by the time he was 25.
Dan has had several jobs since his first at 14 years old washing dishes. In 1998, he started his own Company called McLean Golf E-Z-GO Inc. He was the distributor of EZGO Golf cars for Alberta and British Columbia, with branches in Camrose, Calgary, and Langley BC. His company sold and serviced golf cars for hundreds of golf courses and individuals in both provinces. He also had a large rental fleet for golf tournaments, large events like the Calgary Stampede, and his crowning achievement was being the official supplier for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. That bid took two years and huge logistics supplying over 250 golf, utility, and medical units to help make it an incredibly successful event!
Dan sold his company in 2018, and now spends most of his time volunteering and keeping very involved in politics at all three levels. Dan considers municipal politics to be the most important to the average citizen, and where his previous business experience would be most helpful, and as such is considering running as a candidate for City Councilor in Calgary’s Ward 13. Dan raised his family, had a lengthy business career, and now would like to give back and serve the City and Province that has done so much for him!
