Welcome to Cat’s Track Episode 92, with guest Curtis Evert.
Curtis Evert was born and raised on a family farm in Southeast Saskatchewan, Canada. Curtis graduated with a B.Sc. Advanced in Geological Sciences from the University of Saskatchewan in 1984 and began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1985.
Curtis and his wife Johanna are the proud parents of two grown boys and recent grandparents to a grandson.
Curtis has worked for several companies during the past 35 years, focusing his efforts on petroleum and natural gas exploration and production. His early career was spent working on projects in Canada, including Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland. During the past 20 years, Curtis has focused on international ventures including projects in Cuba, Spain, Namibia, Argentina, Turkey, Pakistan, Brazil, United Kingdom and China.
Curtis is currently Vice President, Exploration for Sherritt International whose primary oil and gas assets are located in Cuba and Spain. He is the co-founder and Past President of the Canadian Global Exploration Forum (CGEF), a not-for-profit society that represents and promotes Canadian petroleum exploration, production and CSR expertise on a worldwide basis.
