Cat’s Track #89 – Lisa Shelley
Welcome to Cat’s Track Episode 89, with guest Lisa Shelley.
Lisa Shelley, a 6th generation Calgarian, has always been passionate about business, community, and building something that matters. After graduating from the University of Calgary with a BComm and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with EY in Calgary, she relocated to London, England where she continued her career providing leadership, strategic and operational insights to multi-national and SMEs on four continents.
In 2013, after returning from England, Lisa entered the entrepreneurship world by combining her diverse business experience with her passions by bringing Neal’s Yard Remedies, an omni-channel organic skincare retailer, to Canada. Lisa considers it extremely important that we think globally about the impact we are making on the planet and hopes that elevating awareness about the quality of natural and organic products will inspire others in favour of a more sustainable lifestyle. Building on her success in the small business world, Lisa became Managing Director of Citrus Capital Partners, providing strategic and financial advisory services to small and medium business in Western Canada. Lisa believes in giving back to community and is currently the Chair of the Board of the 4th Street BIA and the Finance & Audit Committee Chair on the board for the YWCA Calgary, in addition to past volunteer positions with the Calgary Chamber, REAP, the Rotary Club of Calgary Downtown and the U of C mentoring program.
Lisa has been described as a true wanderlust and has travelled to 90 countries to date with plans to reach 100 by the time she turns 50, provided COVID-19 doesn’t get in the way.
